Dr. Bollwerk received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri in 2000. She worked in a small animal private practice in Greensboro, NC for 5 years while focusing her interest on internal medicine, emergency medicine and ultrasound. Dr. Bollwerk then moved to After Hours Emergency Clinic while continuing to provide relief services to surrounding specialty hospitals in Winston-Salem and Greensboro, NC. She then became a part of Carolina Veterinary Specialists as an emergency doctor for 3 years prior to relocating to Kansas City to be closer to family. Dr. Bollwerk shares her life with her husband, James, two children, Noah and Cora. She enjoys spending her free time with family, friends and her tabby cat, Orange Crush.
